In the past few years we have used Scott twice in two real estate sales (of our home), and two following home purchases. Scott came highly recommended by a work colleague, and immediately upon meeting him his unique attributes were evident. Scott gave us honest advice on the current realities of the market, and spent a great deal of time educating us on smart buying and selling. Prior to meeting Scott we had several other realtors promise ridiculous results just to get a contract signed (i.e. promising high list price, oddly high expected sale price with special mention that we’ll “see what happens”?). With Scott it was truly a no pressure approach.
In 2009 Scott listed our home in a buyers market but was able to negotiate the exact terms of the sale on the first day. We attributed this to a competitive listing and fantastic marketing skills meant to seek out the few buyers and bring them in. We received the price we wanted and the guidance we needed. Scott was honest and fair to both us, and the buyer, and allowed the market to determine the right price not hollow promises.
We then called on Scott’s expertise to guide us in the purchase of a new home. Based on his advice we moved forward with the purchase. Although we were very happy with our purchase a year earlier, we truly realized that was a smart purchase as it did result in the financial gain he anticipated a year before. Scott did this while the market was again flat and saturated with similar houses all comparable to ours. Scott assessed the situation with our particular needs in mind and again impressed us by negotiating a sale in 10 days. In this particular case Scott represented both us (the seller) and the buyer (who contacted him after viewing his web site and our listing). Scott impressed us in the way he was easily able to balance and fairly represent both parties with no concerns. There was no hidden agenda or alternative motives just sound advice. Finally Scott just completed (July 2010) negotiating and advising us on an outstanding property we just bought. Without his guidance and professionalism this final move would not have been possible. We have made considerable gains in the market where many are struggling.
Scott is both professional and personable and certainly unique in his field. He was and continues to be there for us, even for those little questions. We have recommended Scott to all of our friends and family.
